The Pfaff S24 worm gear gearbox is a hand operated drive unit with a 24:1 ratio and a self-locking worm gear that holds the load in any position at standstill.
Pfaff S24 worm gear gearbox features
The higher 24:1 ratio makes the S24 easier to turn by hand at a lower output speed than the S20, so it suits heavier or more controlled moving and rotating of loads, driving rope drums or sprockets as a self-locking worm gear gearbox.
